I have and have had exceptionally few examples in my life of a good relationship; as a result I've spent my entire dating life avoiding them. I have; however, had one serious relationship that was great while it lasted, and have found myself in recent past missing the little things about it that were so great. Things like a movie at home sitting on the couch in your comfy sweats snuggled up next to someone special. Having that person that is your friend above all else; the one you want to call when you've had a great day because they're the first one you want to tell. Or the person you call when you've had a bad day because you know they'll put a smile on your face, and it will all melt away with a simple laugh. Seeing the way their eyes light up with a twinkle just because they're looking at you. Having that warm body cuddled next to you just as you're about to fall asleep, and waking to kisses as you hearing good morning beautiful even though you have bad breath and messy hair. These are some of the things that I have been longing for, and I realize they don’t happen over night. Which is why I like to take things slower then the current dating world, a little more on the side of traditional dating or courtly love; something thing that is lost on my generation as well as the younger ones. Don’t let that fool you into thinking that I am modest or traditional as an overall person; on the contrary I’m often more on the side of a maverick.
